Recently yours truly Sweet Jen and Stacy Limit had the pleasure of interviewing

I recently caught up with the young and talented dancehall artist BRAMMA 'D'
BOMMA at BigShp studio. If I had to sum up Bramma in a few words it would
be clever lyrics, crazy flow and a unique style.

Bramma is definately an artist that is making his own mark in the ever

Movado
Since 2005 Movado has been the hottest new artist
to hit the dancehall scene. Under the wing of Bounty Killer, and
among fellow Allliance members Movado known for hits like Pon Da Gully Side,
Gangta Fi Life, Dreamin' has had hit after hit. Touring constantly for the
last two year, David Brooks, has not only found time for his fans but recently
also for charity close to his heart. Listen

Queen
Paula
Armed with her raunchy lyrics, she
left no stone unturned in making her presence known. Her jabs at
her female rivals earned strong response from the patrons, whom
it would appear were in the mood for a lyrical confrontation.
Dubbed 'Ms Universe', Paula laced the audience with Ignorant Fi
Dem and Don't Want No War in a tight set.
So what are her plans to ensure an
easy ride for her on the dancehall scene this year? For
starters, she has begun to increase the campaign for
Ignorant Fi Dem, which has been
in steady rotation on cable television channels, and she also
plans to take the promotion to the streets.
She has also been
recording a lot of material over the past couple of weeks and
her efforts have borne fruit with Your Fire, Nine To Five and
Nah Look Pon Dem.

ETANA
'THE STRONG One'
has already made some impressive
sacrifices though she is fresh on the music scene. Etana, 22,
says she dropped out of college in the United States because her
only interest was music. "I used to attend the Broward
Community College in Miami and I used to sit there and write
songs in lectures ... When I stopped, my mom wasn't happy, but
she know seh me a survivor," said Etana.
Etana recently
released her debut single Wrong Address, and says the
response so far has been positive. "They love the song and I
think they are going to be loving the video as well." She says
her music is conscious and makes use of the acoustic guitar, "So

The former lead
singer of the once renowned reggae dancehall group ARP (A Raw
Perspective) is back in
full effect getting lots of luv from the radio and his large
following of female fans especially with his lastest single
"Can't get over you".

Formally known as "Snagga Puss"
basically, the same shape and form for the last decade,
but in that period he has switched from being Jamaica's
most promising rapper, as Dicky Ranks, to dancehall deejay
Snagga Puss, a character based on the Yogi Bear character
Snaggle Puss. Snagga has toured
extensively with Shocking Vibes, but here what he has to say
about his most recent change in image, yet once again.

Kiprich
With hits like Telephone Ting,
The LetterBaby Song, Bellevue, Kiprich
aka Kippo has distinguished himself with his comical
lyrics and versatile style. He has toured the world as the
opening act for Elephant Man and now firmly stands on his own
with his recent album release "Outta Road. Here for
yourself what Kiprich has to
say about his challenges, the reality of "badmind" and his focus
for the future.
Recently at RJR Radio station in
Kingston, JA I had the chance to talk to
Macka Diamond and
Blacker,who have one of the top tunes in
dancehall, Bun Him. Listen

talks about how they decided to collaborate, his perspective on

Warrior King
His first attempt at radio came in
the late '90s with the Coco Tea-produced single "Nuff a Dem a
Evil" with fellow DJ Little Blacks. The duo participated in
numerous festivals and community events before Dyer, who was
christened Warrior King by
Frisco Kid, hit it big with the single "Virtuous Woman." HIs
follow up single "Hold the Faith" got solid airplay on radio
across the globe. Warrior King is a man that comes across
as very humble, knowledgeable, and loving. His
determination will only be an asset as this artist continues to
make music.
My Gawwwwwwwwwwd; if you have
heard this expression on a CD, commercials, or at your local
barber shop, Twins of Twins
are the ones that coined this popular phrase. Identical
twins they have been in the business for several years, DJing
and for their animated impersonations of well known Jamaican and
international personalities, including Mutabaruka, Bounty Killa,

Gal Want A Man, Bounce, and
countless collaborations with artists like Egg Nog, Beenie Man
and Capleton have established Danny
English as a well known artists. Check out the
interview as we met up at Kings of Kings studio in Dec. 05.
In 1995 Galaxy
P came out with the hit "Heads Up", later he gave us tunes
like Tight Like A Virgin. Most recently "Galla P" has been
one of the primary producers at Buju Banton's studio, building
riddims, voicing artists and producing them.
In the mid
nineties Frisco Kid jump on the scene and made a lasting
impression with hit tunes like Rubbers, Little and Cute and Gal
Pon Da Side. In the recent interview with Ancient
Monarchy, he describes how he has avoided conflict with other
artists, how he first came on the scene, and how the time
for younger artists to up rise is before us.
Mr.Lex
aka Lexxus
is known for
hit tunes that always seem to have with catchy hooks and
punchlines and get stuck in your head. With hits like
"Cook", "Walk up Inna Da Videolight","Full Hundred".
Lexus voice is deep and raspy and is hard to mistake for anyone
else; while his upbeat DJ style and dance tunes make him a
favorite with the ladies.

Boxcom X
While in
Jamaica I had the pleasure to witness
Boxcom X
at Stonelove Studio writing, recording and
editing a track called "Danger" to be released in the spring of
'05.
In 1997
Determine
got his first major hit with "Kette Drum"
and from that point he released tracks liken "War
Munga", "Never
Fail I" "Determine"
and "Loving
In The Night".
He quickly became recognized as a solid and energetic performer
with and begun to tour to places like Italy, France, California,
New York and open for acts like Capleton, Sizzla, etc. On
a recent trip to Jamaica I caught up with Determine in the
studio who was voicing his soon to be released tune "No We Nah
Dweet".
Downsound
recording artist made the biggest impact as a new artist in the
latter part of 2004. With hits like "Hungry" and "Hail Da
King" Fanton Mojah quickly became one of the most saught
after artists. Although new to the public, Mojah has been
working hard at his craft for over 10 years, listen to the
interview and hear what he has to saw about the trials and
tribulations of making it to the top.
Boom Dynamite
is one of
the original members from Monster Shack Crew and coined the
phrase "What time is it," while the artists are all
now working on their solo careers he still has close ties with
them. Boom details his experiences as an unknown artist,
his successes, and the direction he wants to focus on in the
future.
Chrisinti
Born in the city
of Kingston, to be more precise a place called Drewsland. Named
Paul Christopher Hudson by his parents, from humble
surroundings, had early dreams of becoming a star. Chrisinti
as he is now called, a name taken on by himself and given
meaning “Selassi I Child”. One day while conducting a
session at the Mixing Lab Studio in Kingston, a stranger came
into the studio. When the session was over he was asked to
join this person who turned out to be the president of Kings of
King Mason, “Shine Your Light” another combination with Louie
Culture.
Jagwa
Wok Gal, Man a Bad Man, are just some of the hits that
Jagwa has unleashed. Known for his witty lyrics,
he has risen as an artist with much potential. Under
the wing of Bounty Killer you can often find him as one of
the featuring opening acts for the Warlord.
Cash Money
If you are looking
for a mix CD, but aren't sure which one to buy, put your money
on Cash Money, you won't be disappointed. Only four
years in the business, yet when you say Cash Money you will
think: Portmore, crazy mix CDs, and a truckload of Vybz Kartel.
I had the pleasure of catching up with Scratch B from Cash Money
at his studio in Portmore.
