Part Proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Sickle Cell Society

The Canadian Sickle Cell Society is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating the at-risk and general populations, recruiting and training volunteers, providing effective lobbying for improvement of services, and identifying individuals with sickle cell disease or traits and providing them with individual and family counseling. Sickle cell disease is a rare inherited blood disorder characterized by the presence of sickle or crescent-shaped red blood cells (erythrocytes) in the blood. The Canadian Sickle Cell Society was established in 1976 by affected family members with the assistance of medical and health professionals and community members. Program activities include a young adult program, family services, education, counseling, and community involvement. The society produces a variety of educational materials including pamphlets and brochures.
